Here are the women chefs you’ll be seeing more of on BBC One from 8th November 2021 until Christmas as MasterChef The Professionals returns to our screens for its 14th series.

We had the wonderful opportunity to catch up with Olivia Burt, Sous Chef at Claridge’s, who is competing in MasterChef The Professionals on BBC2.  Olivia was also the only female chef to make the finals of the Roux Scholarship.  Our co-founder, Mecca Ibrahim, recently spoke to Olivia about her experience on MasterChef The Professionals and what it’s like cooking on a national TV show.

BBC Two’s MasterChef: The Professionals is returning for its 13th series and once again looking for chefs with the talent and ambition to make it to the top of their industry.

We got the chance to speak to chef Luciana Berry about her experiences championing Brazilian food, cooking for Prince Edward, braving the critics and what happened after MasterChef The Professionals. Our friend James Haywood from OpenKitchen made part of our interview into a short podcast  where you can exclusively hear Luciana’s views on how she has found being a woman in the food industry.

The first UK edition of Casa Brasil, a fortnight long festival will launch in London’s Covent Garden from 25th August 2022. Luciana Berry, has curated the food and drink for the event and we attended a press night to find out more.
