Nationwide fresh pasta delivery service Pasta Evangelists has teamed up with our friends at wonky veg supplier, Waste Knot, to launch its first range of “wonky” pasta dishes made from pumpkin flesh that would otherwise go to waste at this time of year.

We are continuing our series of news features of  women in the food industry who are putting their skills and experience to great use by helping others in this challenging time.  We spoke to Clara Widdison, Head of Social Inclusion at The Mayor’s Fund for London and she told us about her all women team of staff and volunteers running emergency hubs for children across London.

While the world is going through mass uncertainly and flux we  have been talking to a number of women in the food industry about how they are handing this change. Jess Latchford , is Director of Waste Knot, and her company supplies food service organisations and gives new life to vegetables and fruit which would have normally been discarded for cosmetic reasons. We spoke about how her business is responding to Coronavirus.

We welcome you to our panel discussion themed around Doing Good with Food, Sustainability and Food Waste. The panel with discuss food as a source for good, from a sustainability angle this means how we should try to use resources wisely, not damage the planet with how we package food and what we can do to eliminate food waste. We will also explore how working with food can educate us.
