BACKGROUND

In 2050, the world’s population is expected to hit 10 billion (World Economic Forum, 2022), placing unprecedented demands on global food production. It’s no secret that the food we eat is damaging the environment. Take burgers, for example did you know that a single burger consumes a whopping 660 gallons of water which is equivalent to showering for 2 months straight?

Key discussion points for the panel will include:

  • Current challenges in the FoodTech space
  • Top sustainable AgriTech practices
  • Tech’s Role in reducing food waste and reducing carbon footprint
  • Positioning collaboration at the heart of FoodTech
  • Tools to unlock consumer interest and raise awareness

The panel will include:

Tarryn Gorre

Tarryn is CEO & co-founder of Kafoodle, a B2B SaaS company that supports commercial kitchens globally with food legislation and nutrition. Founded in 2014 Kafoodle was sold to the US Company 365 Retail Markets in April of this year. Dr. Marianna Herold
