Rachel Trenchard

Rachel Trenchard is co-founder and director of Goosnargh Gin, together with her husband Richard.

From the micro-distillery at the base of Beacon Fell, in the Forest of Bowland AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), Rachel has helped shape Goosnargh Gin from a fledgling firm in a highly competitive market, to standing out as international and regional award winners.

Since the company’s inception in January 2018, leading up to the launch of its first gin in October 2018, Goosnargh Gin’s products have earned the business a prestigious gold medal at the International Wines and Spirits Competition, the Food or Drink Producer of the Year in 2019’s Lancashire Life Awards and the Taste Lancashire Producer award at 2019’s Lancashire Tourism Award, making it the gin to watch going into 2020.

Fiercely proud of her company’s beautiful surroundings, Rachel co-developed a plan to both promote the area in which she lives and works, while enabling Goosnargh Gin to remain both niche, yet easily accessible.
