How to build a successful restaurant venture – Janie to chair Enterprise Nation Event in Manchester on 12th June

This intimate evening event is hosted by Bruntwood Works and Enterprise Nation.

Be inspired, as our co-founder Janie Ash, interviews two successful entrepreneurs; award-winning entrepreneur Carl Morris, co-founder of popular restaurant chain Yard & Coop and Jonathan Poole, co-owner of Red & Blue Restaurants, the company behind Bacaro, Salt House Tapas and Hanover Street Social.

Jonathan and Carl will cover topics on how they started out, attracted customers, created brand loyalty and how they’re beating the odds to make a success of building popular restaurants on the High Street.

About the speakers
Janie Ash, co-founder of Women in the Food Industry.
Janie is Managing Director of Food Brand Agency, Better with Jam and co-founded WiFi in 2019 with Mecca Ibrahim.

Carl Morris, co-founder of Yard & Coop
Carl is co-founder and director of Yard & Coop, ‘The home of buttermilk fried chicken’. Yard & Coop is an emerging bar & restaurant with three restaurants based in the North of England. It is independently owned by Carl and his business partner Laura and both have an ambitious plan to grow the business into a national brand with supporting food and drink offshoots that reflect their expertise in booze & chicken. Previous to Yard & Coop, Carl created and promoted extremely popular club nights, he then grew and established Revolution & Revolution De Cuba as a market leading operator with over 100 bars.

Jonathan Poole, co-founder of Red & Blue restaurants
Jonathan is co-founder of Red & Blue restaurants. The Liverpool based group was established in 2010 by Jonathan and Paddy Smith. The group is behind the Bacaro, Salt House Tapas, Hanover Street Social and Rocket and Ruby brands and they are now expanding into Manchester.
