Emma Mayoh

Emma Mayoh, Lancashire Life’s Food and Drink Editor and the title’s Deputy Editor, has been writing about the county’s thriving dining scene for more than a decade, combining her love of sharing people’s stories with shining a light on the stars, unsung heroes and growing talents of the industry.

She has hosted events with national treasure and Bake Off judge Prue Leith and interviewed some of the most exciting names on the northern and national restaurant scene – Moor Hall chef patron Mark Birchall and Northcote’s Lisa Goodwin-Allen, dynamic Mowgli founder Nisha Katona, two Michelin star chef Tom Kerridge and Simon Martin, the proud recipient of Manchester’s first Michelin star for four decades.

As well as writing the much-loved Food and Drink pages in Lancashire Life magazine, and being one of the judges for the title’s Food and Drink Awards, she also edits the regional publication, Food & Drink, which celebrates the county’s diverse hospitality industry, from restaurateurs to retailers and food entrepreneurs to farmers.

She has worked with Marketing Lancashire on their immensely successful Taste Lancashire campaign, including organising food events in Lancashire and London to boost the profile of local producers and chefs on a national stage.

She has also spoken on panels at food events, including for the Guild of Fine Food, for whom she is also a judge for the organisation’s Great Taste Awards – a much coveted accolade awarded to outstanding food and drink producers.

Join Emma, with 5 other women in the food industry,  where you will hear her story at our panel discussion “Inspiring Women in Food” at our Lancashire Female Food Entrepreneurs event on January 30th 2020 at Lancaster University with Marketing Lancashire.
