In relation to some of the figures around why more women than men are vegan Claire spoke about a recent Vegan Society campaign – Vegan and Thriving  which challenges the stereotype of what it means to be vegan, specifically in relation to masculinity.

She says “Our latest research explores the barriers to veganism for non-vegan men and how vegan men have overcome barriers on their vegan journey. In our campaign videos, we hear directly from vegan men about how their veganism relates to their masculinity, highlighting that veganism can be a form of strength and compassion.”
